Wool Florent with self weaving wool fabric

I here !

I juste finish (almost, the tape is missing) a florent for my dad. I made it with felt wool fabric that I wove myself. It is a first time working with wool fabric and a first time weaving fabric so I’m really pleased with myself.

The fabric is felt on the washing machine so it end up to tick but it doesn’t cause issues on the sewing.

The lining is some satin cotton fabric I had around.
I plan to make one for myself, but I will change the way I wove the fabric and I didn’t plan to felt it since I don’t have enough control on the process.

The brim is a bit of plastic binder that I have heated to give it a slight curve. I hope the curve will stay in place.

Hey, thanks for sharing a showcase :tada:

To (also) show this as a showcase on our main website, we’d like to make sure you’re cool with that first.

If you are, please add the showcase-on-website tag to your post as explained in the FAQ: How to mark a showcase post for inclusion on the FreeSewing website

If you do not add this tag, we will not include this on our main website.

Thanks for helping us curate our showcase library

PS: If you have already included the showcase-on-website tag, then please ignore this message. I am not currently smart enough to figure that out on my own :see_no_evil_monkey:
