Hey, thanks for sharing a showcase :tada:

To (also) show this as a showcase on our main website, we’d like to make sure you’re cool with that first.

If you are, please add the showcase-on-website tag to your post as explained in the FAQ: How to mark a showcase post for inclusion on the FreeSewing website

If you do not add this tag, we will not include this on our main website.

Thanks for helping us curate our showcase library

PS: If you have already included the showcase-on-website tag, then please ignore this message. I am not currently smart enough to figure that out on my own :see_no_evil_monkey:

Hi there, this is an impressive first! Chapeau! I have one question, though, if I may nitpick: The yoke seems to ride up a little because of the suspenders [see pictures in the linked blog post]. Is there anything to do about that? Anyway, I like your style! .)

It looks fantastic, and I enjoyed reading about the journey in your blog post.
Thanks for sharing and the kind words :folded_hands:

I really cannot thank you enough! This is a great project, web site, editor, pattern collection, documentation, forum. etc. The entry is really easy, just a few clicks, and I could play with the pattern! Freesewing is definitely one reason I started to sew now, when I found it. I’ve been planning to make my own shirts for years, because I wasn’t satisfied with anything off the shelf.

One unexpected but rather important (for me) advantage is to now be able to have clothing without any plastic in it. The thread I use is plastic free (currently silk). The first shirt has plastic-based interfacing still, but my spouse found some linen at an antique shop that looks suitable, and I’ll try that next.

And I’m already planning trousers and more…

I also enjoyed your video series on making shoes.

Also thanks to everyone who’s helping here!
