Hey, thanks for sharing a showcase :tada:

To (also) show this as a showcase on our main website, we’d like to make sure you’re cool with that first.

If you are, please add the showcase-on-website tag to your post as explained in the FAQ: How to mark a showcase post for inclusion on the FreeSewing website

If you do not add this tag, we will not include this on our main website.

Thanks for helping us curate our showcase library

PS: If you have already included the showcase-on-website tag, then please ignore this message. I am not currently smart enough to figure that out on my own :see_no_evil_monkey:

Hi, it’s a beautiful mask ! the fabric is nice ^^

Since you mention a hospital visit, I thought I’d bring up that cloth masks on their own provide very little protection against airborne diseases like covid. Respirators rated K/N95, FFP2 or above are the best tool for that, when properly fitted.
One option is to use decorative overmasks on top of respirators as long as they don’t jeopardize the fit.
I’m glad you keep thinking of your health and the health of other people ^^

I’m aware of the effectiveness of different types of masks, I’ve worked in construction for much of the last 20 years. The appointment was changed (due to a cancellation) on Wednesday and Thursday I started with a runny nose and sneezing and wasn’t able to get to a store to buy some better masks. So I raided my scraps stash to make this up before my appointment to reduce how much I was spreading any germs or viruses I may have picked up.

I’m glad you made it then^^ I was also raising the subject for other people who view the post, and it made me think that we maybe need to add a warning on the design page to stand for that ^^
