Blue and red paisley Simon with aligned pattern details

Hi there!

After a busy and productive time, I finished my next Simon shirt. It is the first after the long series of tests, with a blue paisley main fabric and a red detail fabric with the same pattern. It was my first shirt to attempt a welt pocket, and because the pattern of the two fabrics is the same, it takes great care about alignment and non-alignment, and took much longer to make.

And like before, I have longer story with more details online.

Looking forward to opinions, comments, questions.

Hey, thanks for sharing a showcase :tada:

To (also) show this as a showcase on our main website, we’d like to make sure you’re cool with that first.

If you are, please add the showcase-on-website tag to your post as explained in the FAQ: How to mark a showcase post for inclusion on the FreeSewing website

If you do not add this tag, we will not include this on our main website.

Thanks for helping us curate our showcase library

PS: If you have already included the showcase-on-website tag, then please ignore this message. I am not currently smart enough to figure that out on my own :see_no_evil_monkey:

I’m loving this. The extra effort to pattern match has created a stunning finish, great work.

Yes, that looks gorgeous!

Wow. Stellar pattern matches. Even on the welt. Thanks for all the detail.
