Anyone else used FreeSewing patterns to teach course?

This spring and summer I’m excited to teach some sewing courses to children and adults using the Teagan T-Shirt pattern in March, May, June and July 2026. Has anyone else taught sewing courses using an FreeSewing designs? I’ll share my full experience after the courses, but here’s the basic plan:

Take measurements, print the pattern, practice some serging/coverstitch, then get to making the shirt. For the kids course, it’s 15 hours over 5 days, so we’ll revise and make a second shirt. For the adults, it’s a one day 6 hour course.

If anyone else here on the forum is in the Austin, Texas area, here are links to the courses in case you’d like to sign up or learn more: Kids' Summer Schedule - The Contemporary Austin and AllBrands Austin Bespoke T-shirt with Jam Jenkins March 26 or May 2 10:30AM - 4:30PM at AllBrands.com.

I have not. Although I sometimes get asked whether I teach courses. And while that seems fun, I really don’t have the time :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

This is a very cool idea. The smile on your student’s face, and the story about his wife were great.

I don’t know enough to teach a class, but I have toyed with the idea of a YouTube channel to document my sewing journey as a beginner, using FreeSewing patterns.
