Unable to export svg

I updated my measurements and attempted to export Simon for editing. It’s been quite a while since I last exported the pattern so I seem to have forgotten something. I am able to export the pdf with no problem. But when I try to export an svg, this happens. It comes out as all black with these strange artifacts added. They are pretty large artifacts behind the pattern pieces. I don’t think this looks right, or does it? Not sure what I am missing or doing wrong. Can you help? Thanks.

p.s. The same things happens whether I open the svg in Affinity Designer or CorelDraw. For some reason, Inkscape won’t let me open files, I can only copy/paste. But that’s another story for another day…

I tried just now but was not able to reproduce this issue on freesewing.eu. I generated a Simon pattern using the Elanor curated measurements set. I was then able to export it as an SVG file, which opened in Safari, Chrome, and Inkscape, and the SVG file looked as expected. No black pattern pieces, no artifacts.

Edit: Added. Someone posted a reply to you on Discord with a possible cause and workaround.
