If you’re new here, like I am, you may have found using the editor menus in their default drop-down fashion obscures what you’re working on, making progress painfully slow. The button to switch menus to a sidebar does not work…
…until it does.
The secret to that mystery is to have your browser window in full-screen mode and Voilà! Sooo much faster to navigate the menus and actually see the changes you are making.
I don’t know if this is universal to all OSes & browsers but it is the case for Win11 using Firefox & DuckDuckGo browsers.
Happy generating!
From observation, the “Show Side Menu” functionality seems to work only when the editor window is wider than a certain width. I’m not sure if this is the expected behavior or a bug.
More of an unforeseen side effect I would say.
I’ll look into it.
I have resolved the screen-size matter. There’s still some issues with the production code being different from the dev code (the semi-transparent background on the menu is not supposed to be there), but we’ll get around to it eventually
WOW! I sincerely appreciate your interest in a newbie’s experience. (Honestly, my intent was not to add to your To-Do list.) Thank you very much for the instant resolution. And as long as I have your attention; I LOVE what you have built here. Being here makes me feel like the world is in a better place than it appears.
Fixed the menu background too. There might be other small styling issues, which is why we keep #264 - [bug]: Ongoing CSS issues with daisyui/tailwindcss/docusaurus - freesewing/freesewing - Codeberg.org open, but the main issues should be resolved.
Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to me, as I’m certain it means a lot to out contributors too
