I wanted to make a romper for my father, who uses medical diapers at night. I tried the romper design that was uploaded on here, but it doesn’t fit (which makes sense). So I wanted to ask, how I could design my own pattern to make the romper fit my father. I am sure you would only need to adjust some measurements but I am not sure how…

The romper pattern, otis, only uses the waist measurement. This is because it is close enough to get reasonable fits for infants from a months to a year or so. Any other measurement was thought to be too difficult to get and wouldn’t really help the pattern.
There is the onyx design that is a one-piece, but I’m not sure if that would address what you need.
Seconding everything Wouter said, bit also wanted to chime in to say that this seems like a very noble use-case.
