I tried inputting measurements for a 1:12 scale (similar to OB11) BJD since my understanding was that part of the point of this website was to be able to scale the patterns to any size, but when i loaded it into draft view everything’s overlapping with giant skulls and a huge box and i can’t really see anything or separate it out. i figured out how to scale the skulls down which sort of helps but then all the text runs together. also the seam allowance thing doesn’t make any sense, it’s putting random seams in the middle of the garment. i imagine i could fix most of this with the svg but even then in the svg some of the text is cut off for some reason? i don’t really understand what’s going on
Look for a little icon that looks like an eye with a diagonal line through it. That turns off all those fancy things you don’t need. (You can also find this under Core settings. It’s called “generate a detailed pattern”)
seam allowance is standard set to 10mm when you enable it. You can change that in Core Settings.
You can turn seam allowance off, then add your own on the fabric, which is what I tend to do. It just makes the page a little cleaner, in my opinion
There’s a scale setting (core settings) yhat will scale down the annotations:
The scale settings allow you to scale those parts of a pattern that do not scale with measurements. Things like logos, line widths, font sizes, and so on.
This setting was added at the requests of people who like to use our patterns to make doll clothes. When generating such a small pattern, the arrowheads, titles, and so on tend to obscure much of the pattern. This setting allows you to scale them down or – if you so wish – scale them up.
