Infinite loading when submitting a new Showcase

When I try to add a new showcase to the website, I get an infinite loading message saying “One moment please (processing images can take a while)”.

I tried in Firefox first, with a bunch of additional images. Then after waiting for about half an hour, I tried again with only the main image. This gave the same result. I then tried only the main image in Chromium instead of Firefox, with the same result.

I realise I could also make a forum topic to showcase my work, but I expect the main button on the website also ought to work.

Are these large images? A similar issue was reported an Discord and reducing the file size seemed to help.

Hmm.. Possibly! I took them straight from my phone’s camera without trying to reduce their file size. I’ll try again in a bit.

In case that solves it, I suppose the site should probably employ some image reduction on uploaded material. Or set a file size limit.

Oh, to check back in: reducing the file size of the images solved it. Perhaps some maximum file size limit could be put in place here to help future users?
