Hello! I’m here because it is no longer possible to buy pants. When I say pants I mean pants as in not tights. Everything for men is sized for 6 foot tall toddlers with a thigh circumference of -4 inches. When I kneel with the back of my thigh to my ankle the cotton (by cotton I imply organic / non-poisoned non-synthetic fabric) should not result in the fabric pulling against my knees. Maybe some people like having their legs strangled all day, I don’t and I’m not a nudist.
So this is where I am:
- I’ve already started looking through the measurements documentation.
- I’ve already had an excellent conversation with a professional tailor a couple years ago.
This is what I’m looking for advice on:
- Does this website have some interactive method of visually designing the clothes?
- Where can I be more involved when I work with a tailor so I can ensure that I’m the one purchasing the material (legitimate cotton versus non-legitimate/synthetic).
These are some of the things I need to focus on for designing man’s pants:
- There will clearly be “excess” fabric used in order to be able to kneel and I’m interested in an elastic like waist to make the pants fit multiple sizes.
- Belt-loops, quality zippers that don’t need to be replaced and the proper snap buttons.
- Finding a tailor who will enjoy having me involved in the process.
My goal is to ultimately have manly pants so we all don’t end up wearing sweat “pants” or just walking around as organic pendulums. I’m looking forward to constructive input, thank you in advance!
