am so used to using a VPN, it never occurs to me it will be a problem logging into a site. that just happened with me.
had no problems with the main site and could sign-up to this forum; but once it was time to log-in, it was stuck in “you must enable cookies” which i found peculiar because my browsers do.
thought at first it was uBlock. no luck getting past that screen. after reviewing my settings for the umpteenth time, i saw the VPN symbol on my taskbar.
turned it off, unlogged, re-logged and was finally able to log-in here.
i use Mullvad. maybe you want to add to that screen to turn-off VPN or whitelist your site in the VPN settings.
thanks.
ps: just checked Mullvad and it doesn’t have whitelisting. i used ProtonVPN and i think they have one.
no problem. am in USA and interesting enough, a VPN gives me faster connections; especially on mobile. i should have added that am on android using Fennec, on a Lenovo Tablet.
it is not a conventional way of using a webapp that’s meant to be used primarily on desktop/laptop but what you’ve done here is just mindblowing. i don’t know if you had mobile first in mind, but i can fork a pattern on a crappy $75 tablet, tinker with the dimensions, save & download it. can’t do any changes to features meant to be tweaked using a mouse like the bezels but, my gxd, what i CAN do is more than enough. i can use these as drafts to continue working on it on my laptop.
it has taken me years to have the courage to open an account and start tinkering on my own. have lots to learn but am extremely grateful.
We do our best to make it possible to use the site on mobile, but of course the nature of the functionality we provide does make it a bit easier to cater to a more traditional desktop+mouse scenario.
That being said, if there’s things that are genuinely not possible in mobile, please let us know.
