Exporting Patterns for Printing

Hi, I want to make several pairs of Cornelius pants in various sizes as part of a costume. I want to export them in A0 to get them printed off. After exporting and saving the pattern as a pdf it is coming out as 3 sheets, but the first sheet is not part of the pattern just a list of things. How can I get rid of it please? I want to send off the file for printing and I don’t want to pay for an extra sheet that I don’t need, especially as I need a few printing. Thank you. Vanda

You can use a PDF editor like https://pdfsam.org/ to get rid of the first page, or often it’s easier to open the downloaded PDF in a viewer (Acrobat Reader or whatever you like) and use the print function to print the document to a new PDF file again. And there you can just specify the page range.

We also have this issue open which talks about replacing the first PDF page with some other file that contains the chosen settings and so on: #187 - [feature]: Improve save/save as/export UX [GH-5742] - freesewing/freesewing - Codeberg.org

In the Pattern Layout view in the pattern editor, under Print Settings, you can disable the Cover Page option to prevent exported PDFs from having the cover page.

(The default setting is disabled, but there seems to be a bug with this at the moment, where you will need to enable it, then disable it, before the setting applies.)

(Hmm… there also seems to be a bug in Pattern Layout where if you change the Cover Size or Paper Size settings and then press “Apply Layout”, the page crashes with undefined is not an object (evaluating 'Object.keys(n.stacks)'). This Pattern Layout page also sees the same crash if you change the Cover Size (enable, then disable it), switch to the Export Pattern view to export a PDF, and then try to return to the Pattern Layout view.)

A workaround for the Pattern Layout crash is to move a pattern part slightly (you can also move the part back to its original location), then press “Apply Layout”. Doing so will prevent the crash from happening. All further actions can be done without causing the page crash.
