Notes:

  • Miscellaneous chit-chat.
    • The weather is hot.
    • Re-welcome, Viola (existing community member, new username).
    • Adding bosoms to a wooden sewing mannequin.
  • Working on porting FreeSewing to Vite.
  • We passed the 1/2 million FreeSewing user accounts mark!

    • Want to make a yoked skirt.
    • Visited Chicago and managed to escape with only $100 of fabric purchases, burgundy wool to make a tailored coat with a skirt.
    • Vogue patterns with sleeves where the wearer cannot raise their arms.
    • Orange fabric for a bucket hat.
    • Dutch people don’t wear orange? Only for sports? Only for national team sports? Only for men’s soccer?
    • Men wearing clothing with color.
    • Choir members wearing inappropriate clothing.
    • Welcome back, Julia. Textiles class starts in July. Burn test.
    • 100% silk fabric with metallic-looking threads in it? Lurex?
    • Sequined and textured fabrics causing injury by rubbing against skin.
