Hi, I am looking for fabrics available in my country. I have links for several fabrics I found that I thought would work great please help me choose and, if these fabrics are bad for this I can look for more!
Micro fabric I liked this fabric but it might make noise when i walk and since I also want to use them while hiking it might not be preferable. Also it is a no stretch fabric!
Gabardine this has a tiny stretch due to how it is woven but still may be too little stretch. And the fabric may be too thick
Thinner gabardine this is the same but with thinner fabric but both are not water repellent
Parachute fabric with lycra this is both stretchy and water resistant but it can still make noise when walking.

crux doesn’t need stretch fabric. For some uses it may be preferred, but it is not required. The default ease settings allow for quite some movement, and the articulated knee and crotch gusset help with that.
I would suggest to make a test garment using cheap non-stretch fabric like and old bed sheet, and then decide if you need a stretch fabric. If you decide that you do not, you can pick anything that works for your application.
Hi, thanks a lot for the info! I also wanted to use them while hiking so am looking for aversatile fabirc. I am a newer sewist myself and do not know as much about fabric even though I did some research. Will do a test sew to try out thanks for the advice
