While I love freesewing, and will 100% be using the Bruce boxer pattern as a base for ones for myself (trans dude here and want to make my autistic self some comfy boxers), the amount of options here are limited. Which I do NOT blame joost or anyone contributing to the site for (god knows I couldn’t do this), but I wonder if anyone has similar sites? preferably ones that have masc/andro fashion (its generally a lot harder to find menswear, and other free pattern websites I’ve seen so far are female-focused or only have thin, female models compared to the showcase all the items here have, which give a good idea of what the pattern would look like on everyone)
I’m super excited to be in this forum tho! :DD

since you are making a trans bruce, have you seen this mini tutorial i made ? Packer pocket Bruce by Naël with mini-tutorial | FreeSewing
hope you find your way trough the site !
oooo not yet! I’ll take a look through it sometime! I plan to both have a packet pocket and a small bridge of fabric on the crotch for pad wings to go under (because I am not touching tampons with a 10foot pole), but i’ll def check it out!
oh, it’s a nice idea ! It may need to be bigger than the croch pièce of bruce
Wouldnt be surprised, especially with my plans to hem the edge of it
I don´t know whether you’ve looked at the showcases yet, but some of the designs can take on several different looks depending on the options (both style and fit). And of course you can vary the fabric. Over on Discord, we’re also pretty good at figuring out ways to recreate a certain look with modifications to FreeSewing designs.
And of course, while we can’t make any promises, it’s always good to know what kind of stuff people are missing!
I’ve definitely taken looks through the showcases! And I’ve popped into the discord, I was just curious! Especially as someone with an ‘out of standard’ body type, this site being able to map items to your measurements is nice!
