Ambitious Devon Jacket modifications

Heyy! If I were to try and act like a fool by modifying the Devon pattern so that it is

  1. Purposefully oversized (In terms of ease),
  2. Normal in terms of length
  3. Normal in terms of cuff width (so that the cuffs end up narrower than the sleeves),
  4. And has a drop shoulder style

Similar to this image I grabbed from here,

Would it be possible? Which design options do I modify, and by about how much (%), if you could guess at an estimate? I know less about sewing than I probably should in order to do this, but I have a big ego, and I don’t want what I’m doing to be easy - I want it to be Cool.

Yes, that’s what the options are for!

For instance (using Joost’s measurements), here I’ve turned up the chest ease, hem ease, shoulder ease and biceps ease to the max: Pattern Editor | FreeSewing}}

If you select ‘Pattern Measurements’ from the menu (which will be showing ‘Draft Pattern’ initially), you can select your own measurements set, then ‘Draft Pattern’ again.

You’ll have to make a mock-up to find out whether these values correspond roughly to your sample image, and then you can adjust things to your liking.

Note that there’s no guarantee that this pattern will work out; you’ll be at the edges of what the design expects to handle.

For such projects I prefer drafting my own pattern (according to a chosen pattern system). I think freesewing is great for finding a close body fitting pattern but unwilling if you are trying to push it into something that it was not meant to be.

On the plus size, you can see the results very fast.
