I have a problem with the ashley desing. I get an error when I load it up (view screenshot).

This is very likely a problem with the measurements.

Especially about the part between the distance between hips and upper leg and the fly construction. Ashley is similar to Charlie here.

Yeah, the problem is likely with one of your vertical measurements (waist to seat, waist to hip, waist to upper leg, cross seam). I had a hard time getting patterns that made sense until I just tied a string around my waist to make sure I was keeping the same vertical point to measure from.
