Hi! I’m new here and was looking at the zipped hoodie. How would I customize this for thumb holes and side pockets instead of the kangaroo pockets?
For the thumb holes I remove the ribbing for the sleeves (you can draft to pattern, one with ribbing and you don’t take the sleeves and one without and you take only the sleeves) and note the width the ribbing need to be if it exist (or you can calculate it but the site calculate it for you with the stretch)
To put in a nutshell your sleeves without the ribbing need to reach your wrist. Then you calculate the length of your ribbing based on the length of your and and the position of your thumb. You may need to make some test to be sure it not hurt around the thumb. you then sew the ribbing with a hole on the seam for your thumb. It’s a bit tricky to explain how to do it properly but if you don’t figure it out yourself I can try.
